Appointments & Promotions

Welcome

Thank you for your interest in becoming a Georgetown University Medical Center faculty member or choosing to advance your career. Before beginning your application, you can first learn more about the School of Medicine Committee on Appointments and Promotions (CAP) or the School of Nursing and School of Health Appointment, Promotions, and Tenure (APT) Committee. We also recommend attending one of the Appointment, Promotions & Mentoring Workshops hosted by OFAA to ask questions in person.

We will take you through 3 simple steps to complete your application for appointment or promotion:

2. Identify your appropriate track/line and rank
3. Discuss with your academic chair and apply.

If you do not know your academic chair, please refer to the Unit Leader/Department Chair and Admin list.

If you are planning for promotion, please see our promotion planning worksheets to help you prepare.
