The Faculty Development Committee is appointed by and is advisory to the Associate Dean for Faculty Development. It is charged with developing a support system for faculty and postdoctoral trainees who participate in teaching, research and clinical activities at the Georgetown University Medical School in their efforts to achieve their individual goals. Its functions include, but are not limited to, providing assistance and consultation to faculty members, postdoctoral trainees, and department chairs in regard to the development of existing and new faculty; coordinating resources and opportunities to support the professional development of faculty members and postdoctoral trainees; participating in the process of faculty evaluation; developing and administering a Faculty Mentoring program; and sponsoring workshops, seminars, orientation sessions and other efforts to improve the teaching and research environment. The Faculty Development Committee usually meets once a month on the third Wednesday from 3 - 4 PM.  The meetings can be attended in person or over Zoom.
