Appointments and Promotions Workshop

At least once a year the Office of Faculty and Academic Affairs will host virtual workshops that introduces the tracks, the appointment and promotion application process, as well as the resources available to all GUMC Faculty.  

You are also welcome to request a presentation for your department or office by emailing Dr. Kristi Graves, Associate Dean for Faculty Development, and Rachel Robinson, OFAA Academic Coordinator.  Please see below for our upcoming workshops.

Upcoming Workshops

  • Fall 2024 Appointment and Promotions Workshops: Leadership from the Office of Faculty and Academic Affairs (OFAA), the School of Medicine Committee on Appointments and Promotions (CAP), and the School of Nursing and School of Health Appointment, Promotions, and Tenure (APT) Committees will be hosting this presentation for anyone interested in appointments, promotions, or mentoring on the the below tracks.  Presenters will discuss criteria for appointment and promotion on the below tracks, outline the process to apply, and discuss Faculty Development options.  The dates and times for the workshops are:
    • SON and SOH Educator and Research Tracks Appointments and Promotions Workshop: Thursday, October 24 at 12 -1 PM (RSVP)
