GUMC Committees
Annual Call to Serve on GUMC Committees
GUMC invites faculty and staff/AAP members to consider serving on committees that are seeking new members. Information on the committees that are open to new members and applications can be found below. The committees that are seeking new members for AY 26-27 have green application buttons below each of their names (make sure to scroll all the way down to view all committees). You can also view this consolidated list of committees seeking new members.
You must submit a completed application for each committee in which you are interested by Friday, April 10 to be considered. Once the applications have been considered and reviewed, you will be notified of the decisions by the end of May.

Additional University-Wide Committees
In addition to the below GUMC Committees, there are several university-wide committees seeking faculty senate appointees (committee members appointed by the Faculty Senate). Please note, you do not have to be a member of the Faculty Senate to be a Senate Appointee. Please review the information on the committees, and apply for the committees you are interested. If you are interested in serving on multiple of the university-wide committees, please complete one application per committee you are interested.
This committee will resume in AY 26-27. In the interim, the work of this committee will transition to the SOM 2027 LCME Site Visit Steering Committee.
Faculty Development CommitteeThe Committee on Faculty Development is an OPEN Committee. This means that you do not have to be a member in order to attend the meetings. Please see the Meeting Schedule for 25-26 for details on how to attend the meetings. FDC also has two subcommittees:

In order to request a space or shared resource, please submit a request form for the GUMC Space Committee to review.
Research Committee Learn more about the role of the Research Committee. The Research Committee is an OPEN Committee. This means you do not have to be a member of the committee to attend the meetings. Please see the meeting schedule for 2025-26.
